Most of the news today is still about testing the speed of the latest generation of connectivity. Of course it doesn’t really give people a very clear picture when used in daily activities.

As a 5G pioneer in Indonesia, OPPO today (8/6), conducted 5G speed trials for various scenarios. As a reference, the scenario trial was also carried out with 4G connectivity. For information, the phone used to carry out the 5G scenario is the OPPO Reno5 5G. On the other hand, 4G connectivity is carried out by the OPPO A74 phone. Both OPPO phones are embedded with cards from the same carrier.

The first try refers to access cloud storage. High-speed networks will make it easier for 5G device users to store files online. The process is also arguably more practical than using a medium such as a flash disk or the like.

When trying to upload an OPPO MARVEL video file with a size of 337 MB to the Google Drive service, an OPPO phone with a 4G network takes an average of about 4 minutes 48 seconds. While OPPO phones with 5G internet support only require a relatively shorter time, which is only 3 minutes 34 seconds.

After uploading the file to save on the service cloud, of course users can also download it. The scenario also includes downloading the same file (337 MB). 4G network takes 1 minute 47 seconds. It is predictable that the 5G network takes a much shorter time, which is only 57 seconds. This means that 5G can save almost 100% of time.

The next trial scenario is to download the Call of Duty Mobile game on the Google Play Store with a fairly large file size, which is 2.7 GB. 4G connectivity can accomplish this task in 13 minutes 31 seconds. Meanwhile, the connectivity on the OPPO Reno5 5G phone is able to complete it in a very much faster time, which is only 2 minutes 26 seconds. Yes, you don’t have to wait too long to download a game of 2.7 GB on the 5G network.

In this era of all-connectedness, we must often watch online. The day-to-day testing scenario also involved playing 4K video online. During this trial, the 4G network will do a little buffering YouTube video when I speed up the slider to some point. With 5G, I’m free to speed up the video slider without any distractions buffering.

OPPO Reno5 5G itself is one of the 5G devices that has launched in Indonesia. This phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. One that makes the experience of using smartphone OPPO is quite pleasing is its operating system known as ColorOS. Yes, the operating system that the OPPO R&D team continues to develop offers a lot for its users. The goal is to provide the most personalized and better experience between OPPO devices and their users.

Moreover, for the OPPO Reno5 variant, the operating system is the latest, namely ColorOS 11. This ColorOS version offers a very wide customization, has a good security system, also optimizes device performance.
