He said that the trend of buying laptops equal to or less than Rp. 4 million starting in October 2020 was getting eroded. Indonesian people currently prefer to buy laptops in the same category as or less than IDR 5 million.
Even when he explained the data in April 2020, people preferred to buy a laptop with a price equal to or less than Rp. 6 million. Interestingly, this happened during the pandemic.
On the other hand, Word also displays their market share in the field consumer laptop a year ago. They are currently still leading the market with a 31.3 percent share in April 2021.
However, Firman said that currently they are a bit behind when compared to competitors who experienced a positive trend during the pandemic. However, ASUS believes it will be able to increase its market share in the future.
