Jakarta, COTEKNO.COM – Huawei has officially released the latest smartwatch device called Huawei Watch 3. This is the first smartwatch to use the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.
This smart watch has a 3D crown that can be rotated for navigation. According to Huawei, this Crown offers a more intuitive and weather-resistant way of navigating the UI.
Huawei Watch 3 uses a 1.43-inch AMOLED panel. This screen has a screen brightness of up to 1,000 nits with a pixel density of 326 ppi.
The body of this smartwatch is made of steel, while the back is made of ceramic. Huawei Watch 3 has a diameter of 46.2mm and a thickness of 12.1mm. It weighs only about 54 grams without a strap.
Huawei provides several different designs for watches: Active (with silicone strap), Classic (leather strap), Elite (metal), and Classic (Milanese strap).
The sensor suite on the back includes a heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen (SpO2) tracker, as well as a sensor for monitoring skin temperature. The watch also features stress and sleep tracking.
Huawei Watch 3 also supports eSIM technology. This feature allows the watch to run on a 4G connection. It can not only receive calls, but also play some songs from Huawei Music and send them to your Bluetooth headphones.
Interestingly, this watch also supports video calls even without a camera. You can only see the video and hear the voice of the other person.
Huawei has also included AppGallery into the watch. This means you can download and install the HarmonyOS app right on your watch, no smartphone support required.
Huawei didn’t mention the chipset used, but said that the watch has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Battery life in standard mode is 3 days with 4G enabled. Users can also activate Ultra-Long Lasting Mode, which can extend battery life by up to 14 days while still enabling essential functions.
Talking about training modes, this watch supports more than 100 modes, including 17 professional training modes (outdoor and indoor).
There’s fall detection, which can use an eSIM connection to send out an SOS if you’re injured. Positioning supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS.
Pre-orders for Huawei Watch 3 are officially opened with a price tag of 2,600 Yuan (Rp 5 million). Its inaugural sale will begin on June 11, 2021.
Huawei will also be selling an additional band that will allow you to customize the watch face to your liking.
