COTEKNO.COM – Known to often present panels for other HP vendors, Samsung Display has now decided to sell Ultra Thin Glass or UTG to other vendors who need screens for their family’s HP production.
Previously, only devices belonging to the Samsung family received Ultra Thin Glass support from Samsung Display. Spreading its wings, Samsung Display has now decided to become a manufacturer of Ultra Thin Glass.
Reporting from GSM Arena, Samsung Display believes that the supply for Samsung devices is sufficient and has its own advantages.
This then made Samsung Display decide to become a supplier of Ultra Thin Glass for other HP manufacturers who have been Samsung’s rivals in the world gadget market.
To seriously work on the production of Ultra Thin Glass, Samsung Display cooperates with Dowoo Insys to become the exclusivity of its production. As is known, currently Samsung Display is the only supplier of Ultra Thin Glass panels.
Although it has just opened up opportunities for collaboration with other HP vendors, Google is known to be the first company in the list of Samsung Display’s new partners for UTG screens.
This collaboration with Google clearly shows that the Google Pixel will be the first device other than Samsung to try out Ultra Thin Glass.
Previously, rumors mentioned that the Google Pixel would bring an under-display camera. This is what makes this device require Ultra Thin Glass from Samsung Display.
Not only Google, several other rumors mention that Samsung Display will be the supplier of Ultra Thin Glass for Xiaomi and Huawei. Unfortunately, the truth about this news is still unknown.
