Jakarta, COTEKNO.COM – Sony revealed its newest drone called Airpeak S1. In its announcement, Sony revealed more details about the drone’s capabilities, features, and revealed its price.
The Airpeak S1 is built to work with Sony mirrorless cameras, including the A7S Mark III, FX3, or even the 8K-capable Alpha 1.
Using the camera, the drone will have a flight time of about 12 minutes (though it can go up to 22 minutes without any load). It’s also worth noting that the camera requires its own battery, not powered by the drone.
One of the biggest selling points of drones is their stability and resistance to wind. According to Sony, it can remain stable with wind conditions of up to 44.7 miles per hour.
The drone also has five sets of stereo cameras that allow the drone and an infrared scanner that should help the drone stop before it hits nearby objects.
The Airpeak S1 can be operated with just the included controller, but Sony has an app called Airpeak Flight to help make things easier.
This app is only for iOS/iPadOS for now, but will allow to control the camera and gimbal. Airpeak can be operated by one person, but also allows dual operator mode.
The Drony Siny Airpeak S1 is planned to be sold at a fairly high price, reaching USD 9,000 or equivalent to Rp. 128 million.
