Warner Bros. Studios. Pictures has shown footage for the upcoming “Space Jam: A New Legacy” film. Reported from Hypebeast (10/6), this latest trailer features LeBron James forming the Looney Tunes dream team to fight the Goon Squad crew.
This trailer also provides more details about the film’s plot, and also gives viewers a more in-depth look at the new cast of characters. This includes Don Cheadle, who plays the villain, who challenges James to face the Goon Squad in a high-stakes game of basketball.
Apart from that, the footage also shows James gathering his team and playing on the field to save his family and prevent Looney Tunes from being wiped out forever. Meanwhile, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” is set to hit theaters July 16, 2021, and will be available on the HBO Max service a month after its premiere.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy” is the sequel to the 1996 film Space Jam. The sequel features James, who replaces Michael B. Jordan in the lead role of the film. It also features various favorite Looney Tunes characters, such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, and Daffy Duck.
The new film also stars Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, Eric Bauza, Cedric Joe, Jeff Bergman, and Zendaya. Meanwhile, Malcolm D. Lee is directing the sequel to Space Jam.
