Xiaomi claims that their smartphone battery using 200W HyperCharge charging can last for 2 years before feeling capacity degradation.
Xiaomi just announced the presence of the HyperCharge 200W charging technology some time ago. They seem to use the latest generation USB Type-C protocol to deliver this technology.
Some parties are a little skeptical regarding the presence of this technology, for fear of accelerating the battery degradation period on a smartphone smartphone. This is because, fast charging usually generates a large amount of heat when used.
But, recently Xiaomi explained more about the technology. They say, new users will feel battery degradation after 800 cycles discharge and charge.
If you are wondering how long 800 cycles are discharge and charge, the Chinese company claims that it will take approximately 2 years to reach that number.
And quoted from the Wccftech page (13/6), Xiaomi said that in 2 years or 800 charging cycles, the battery capacity will still be “above 80 percent”. So if a smartphone has a 5000mAh battery, after 2 years there will still be a 4000mAh battery.
Xiaomi also said that the Chinese regulatory standard for battery degradation is at 60 percent. So, users don’t have to worry about their battery being damaged quickly even if they use this technology.
But unfortunately, until now it is still unknown when Xiaomi will bring this technology to the market.
