Xiaomi announced that Xiaomi phones can not only receive earthquake warning information but can also monitor earthquakes. This feature uses a low-power sensor built into the phone to sense seismic waves.
After that, the AI algorithm will effectively calculate the seismic information. Then the user will get the first warning if an earthquake is coming.
Xiaomi claims that this technology not only saves earthquake monitoring costs but also greatly increases the amount of monitoring. The company believes that this feature makes the national earthquake monitoring and early warning network more complete.
